Nice to meet you! My name is Lydia Clarke, and I am a Mathematics and Computer Science double major at McMurry University graduating May 2021. I enjoy math and programming so much I just couldn't decide which one I liked more so I chose both to specilaize in!

Since my graduation is very close, I am looking for a new place to work at and to call home. I am exploring data science, software engineering and front-end/back-end development as potential careers. My variety of skills include programming in C, Java, CSS, PHP, Python, MySQL and HTML. I also have some experience in User Experience design following my UX Design internship with IBM this past summer.

I am a quick learner and outstanding student driven by my desire to learn new things. I also work as a student tutor in mathematics and computer science for the McMurry University TRIO Support Services and the Academic Enrichment Center. My 3+ years experience working as a student tutor shows that I can fully understand and grasp concepts not only to do well in my classes but to teach it to my peers. It also further reflects my ability to work with others, and my ability to identify the best ways to help students be successful. Lastly, I am a team player, having been team captain in collegiate athletics and currently the president of the McMurry Mathematics club. I hope that someday through past and future experiences I can be a role model for women in the technology field.
